Ferrara

Ferrara is an adorable University town a little over an hour from us. Over the years, I have decided that a University really adds so much life to a town - it is definitely a plus! It has an amazing castle with a moat and adorable character every where you turn. Kiwi came along with us and we had a great time just meandering the streets with no real agenda. A perfect day!

Even early in the day, the streets were bustling

The dog culture in Italy is unmatched!

Love these 2!!

Kiwi is getting so good with her restaurant and cafe etiquette :-)

Gorgeous town sqaure!

Me trying to be artsy with my wine :-)

You often see really cool cars here :-)

Maybe our 1000th Pizza meal since we have been in Italy! So funny!!

Kiwi taking in the sites!

...and posing in the town square

Such a cool castle with moat and all!

Stunning architecture!

And once again, we love the dog culture here! Adorable!!

Florence

Poor us! (Just kidding) We had to go to Florence so that Mia could take her SAT's. We made a long weekend out of it and had such a great time. Kiwi even tagged along too. It is such a beautiful city!

Looking over the City from Piazza Michaelangelo

The Central Market was so alive and vibrant with everything Italian! Wine, Cannoli, Pesto, Bruschetta - everything you can imagine!

And of course - Aperol Spritz!

Being Silly!

Lot os adorableness - everywhere you turned!

Kiwi in front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (we only have one child with us and she gets tired of being the one photographed - so Kiwi is now the star :-))

Me trying to be artsy with my photography

I loved this redesigned "do not enter" sign

Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge)

More Silliness

Poor Kiwi!!

She was a good sport!

A little break to people watch!

And to rest!

Lots of good stuff!

Beautiful Mia!

Ice Cream Cannoli! Delicious!!

Mamma Mia!!

Kiwi was such a trooper - she has become an excellent restaurant dog - who would have thought??!!

My dream car!! :-)

Tuscany

There is a beautiful Road in Tuscany, that winds between Florence and Sienna. It is absolutely gorgeous with lots of hidden and adorable towns along the way. Breath taking!!

Chianti Fields :-)

There is also an American Cemetary that we discovered (1 of only 2 in Italy). So many soldiers in World War 2 never made it home. Tremendously sad to say the least.
