Prosecco Road - Valdobbiadene

I have a great group of travel friends from different European Countries that meet up every so often for a cool adventure. We were finally all allowed to travel! This time we were celebrating a big birthday and the destination was "Prosecco Road".  Veneto is the Region in Italy that is famous for Prosecco and "Prosecco Road" is the area within Veneto that is extra famous for its Prosecco. The road stretches about 20 miles, with Valdobbiadene on one side and Conegliano on the other. Valdobbiadene is probably the most famous of the towns along the road and that is where we stayed for several nights. It is a great location, nestled among hundreds of acres of  vineyards. The great thing is that from the hotel, you could just walk through the vineyards to different Prosecco Tastings. It is a beautiful place and definitely one of my favorites!

One of our tastings!

Me sitting on a lounge chair overlooking the vineyards... A great way to start and end each day!

Adorable old stone and wood dining room at our hotel

So pretty!

A gorgeous sunset each evening!

Being silly!

Vino!

Cartizze is one of the most exclusive of the Valdobbiadene Prosecco's!

Meandering through the Vineyards was so much fun!

Our view at the one of the restaurants

Amazing!

Celebrating my friends' special day!

Gorgeous!

One of the Tastings was at Pdc Cartizze

So simple, yet so cute!

A church that we hiked up to on the mountain in Valdobbiadene

There were these old buildings in the middle of the vineyards - so cute!

trying to be artsy with my Cartizze :-)

And the harvest season was only a week away, so the grapes were ripe for the picking!
